Case Sharing 1 - School Major Repair Engineering Consultant
In addition to the previous project for adding a climbing wall, the Creative Education Engineering Team is on the move again!
Mid-month, we received a call from the principal of the service school informing us that the school's application for major repairs (MR) was rejected by the Education Bureau again! What should we do?
The engineering consultants and contractors assigned by the Education Bureau are often reassigned! Sometimes, we cannot even find the relevant responsible person! What should we do?
No problem! Creative Education promptly sent an Authorized Person (AP) to the school to conduct tutorials for the teachers responsible for the project and inspect the entire school building to identify areas needing repair.
The AP taught the teachers how to write application reasons for large-scale renovation or reconstruction projects, thereby increasing the chances of approval from the Education Bureau for related projects.

Only a few application items were approved.

The A.P teaches teachers how to write application reasons for large-scale renovation or reconstruction projects, thereby increasing the chances of approval from the Education Bureau for related projects.

The A.P arrived at the school to inspect the entire school building and discovered that the rooftop waterproofing had failed, resulting in plant growth and cracked tiles.

The A.P conducted a thorough inspection of the school's plumbing and restrooms.

The school's pipes were rusted.
In fact, there are many related building issues in schools, but if the school's emergency repair costs are less than $3,000, the school must bear the expenses on its own.
Repairing buildings is a specialty, while teachers are professionals in teaching. How can schools take responsibility on their own? Therefore, many schools do not know how to conduct repairs themselves.
Additionally, school construction can only take place during the summer break, and many schools undertake projects simultaneously. The booming construction industry has driven up material costs and labor wages, meaning that for a project budgeted at $2 million, there may not be many areas that can be repaired. If the repairs do not urgently affect students, it is likely that applications will take three to four years before they can be implemented.
A principal once shared that he had expressed concerns to the engineering consulting company and the Education Bureau about the safety of the railings on the school's upper level, but these experts believed they met safety standards and did not need to be raised.
We might all reflect on: Who understands the needs within the campus best? Who cares most about the safety of the students? Who is most concerned about the development of the school?
Case Sharing 2 - School Climbing Wall Engineering Consultant
Creative Education’s School Administrative Services solves various problems for schools! We received a call from the principal expressing a long-held desire to build a climbing wall at the school. However, over the years, many climbing wall companies that inspected the site said the school's location on a high hill and the possibility of a brick wall on the exterior of the boys' restroom made it difficult to construct a climbing wall, resulting in refusals to take on the project. The principal expressed a strong desire to use climbing training to strengthen students' fine motor skills, enabling them to grip pens more effectively.
Upon learning of the principal's kind intentions, Creative Education immediately dispatched an A.P to assist, and thus, this six-month project began.
From the bidding for the climbing wall, Creative Education collaborated closely with the school. After multiple meetings and inspections with the school and engineering company, the final design and style of the climbing wall were selected. Upon completion, we also sent an architect to inspect the climbing wall to ensure safety.
After the Open Up Test, it was confirmed that the exterior wall of the boys' restroom was not a brick wall, but a concrete wall! This makes it suitable for constructing the climbing wall!
