ary of Providence Primary School "Nina Park" Petrified Wood Park Learning Activity Plan
This collaborative learning activity between Nina Park and Creative Education is fortunate to have the participation of Mary of Providence Primary School. Sixteen students walked to Nina Park at 9 AM and were divided into two groups for a 3-hour learning activity.
Activity Details:
Petrified Wood Workshop with Chip Microscope: Students used chip microscopes to observe the structure of petrified wood, uncovering the hidden rainbow mineral world within and learning about the chemical elements, thereby enhancing their interest in STEAM education.
3D Dinosaur Egg Model Course: With 3D printing technology increasingly integrated into daily life, students explored the world of dinosaurs, learning about various dinosaur species and their characteristics while also gaining knowledge about 3D printing. They learned to use mixed materials and coloring techniques, creating their unique dinosaur egg models, which excited everyone!
Guided Tour of Heart of Mind Garden: Students toured the Petrified Wood Experience Hall, admiring valuable fossil collections, unique plants, and smart benches, gaining a deeper understanding of the evolution of petrified wood and plants. In an interactive format, they explored the garden and encountered petrified wood treasures from the Late Cenozoic era.
The "Nina Park" Petrified Wood Park Learning Activity Plan provides students with a new interactive learning experience. This is definitely an event that students do not want to miss!
