When discussing the qualities of exceptional companies, one key aspect is understanding and valuing what employees think, say, do, and need. Addressing their concerns allows them to work without worries for the company. Creative Education understands this principle and has implemented family-friendly employment measures to help employees balance work and family life.


Supporting Employees’ Family Situations

Alex Leung, Director and Founder of Creative Education, provided an example: in 2022, when the Education Bureau announced an early summer vacation policy, Creative Education established a "Family-Friendly Program" to alleviate the burden on employees. If an employee faces an unexpected family situation, they can utilize the company's flexible working model to adjust their working hours or work from home, allowing them to have more time to care for their family. In addition to regular working parents, newly engaged employees and those with newborns receive 15 days of marriage leave and additional bonuses.

 

Creative Education has introduced various considerate policies because the company believes that "people-oriented" is its core value. Alex explained, "We often ask, 'What do employees need? What are their characteristics?' We found that the new generation prefers to have more control over their working hours, so we allow employees the freedom to adjust their schedules as long as they complete their work on time."

Enhancing Employee Belonging

The company believes that, compared to salary levels, employees value a flexible working environment more. "If arrangements are inflexible, employees may seek new opportunities. Implementing flexible work arrangements can reduce employee stress, increase their sense of belonging to the company, and improve policies that enhance retention rates," Alex emphasized.

To implement family-friendly employment measures effectively, understanding and respecting employees is essential. This includes recognizing the physical conditions of older employees and accommodating them, providing opportunities for retraining and allowing them to showcase their strengths.

 

Establishing family-friendly employment policies results in a win-win situation for both employees and the company. Not only does it enhance employee efficiency and foster a greater sense of belonging, but it also positively impacts the company’s reputation and image, increasing its appeal to talent. Alex stated that Creative Education is committed to developing more diverse measures in the future to meet employees' needs. "We believe that 'the path is paved by benevolence.'
