International Culture & Living Styles Association:
Pressed Flower Eco-Bags
About:
Pressed flower art, originating in Europe for the purpose of creating specimens from precious herbs, boasts a long history. By making pressed flower eco-bags, students are inspired to observe plants more closely and gain a unique experience in documenting the beauty of nature. Nina Park is home to many precious flowers, and through exploring the plants and participating in the workshop, students will learn about the different colors, shapes, and textures of plants.
Choosing suitable flowers for color matching and composition is part of the process, fostering creativity and ingenuity in students. During the creation process, students will carefully handle the flowers and learn various pressing techniques. It is hoped that upon completion, students will develop a greater curiosity and gratitude for nature.
